This little hook cultivator is fantastic. I'm really blown away by the quality. The stainless steel blade is rock solid. It's like having a big tool's capability in a compact form. It breaks down into two sturdy pieces, making it easy to store when I'm not using it. It could be risky if a child got their hands on it and started playing around with it. The spot where the hook screws into the handle is solid. For a very fair price for a high-quality garden tool, this small hook has not only outperformed a couple of other tools, but it also made my weeding much easier and faster. My garden beds are looking tidier, and my back feels great. Highly recommended.
This heavy duty tool is indeed heavy - a bit too heavy for my comfort. It might be perfect for someone younger and stronger. It's quite large, and can be used for big projects. It's well built and nicely made, definitely very solid and sturdy and should hold up well. Works well for clawing into tough weedy soil. I have lots of clay so the heft does help to dig into it to hack out overgrown weeds.
Wow! This is an incredible garden tool. It is really heavy-duty and strong. It is easy to use and is sharp at the tip, so be careful as you use it. It is heavier than most gardening hand tools, but that is what makes it so effective. Digging up my planter beds (good soil) is a breeze and does not take much effort at all to break up large old tomato. squash, etc root balls.
Im using it to cut and dig a trees root ball so we can replant it in a different location. I was not familiar with Rocklins gardening tools, so I was concerned that I might bend it while trying to relocate a good-sized tree. (over 10 feet tall)Now, know that is NOT possible. Unfortunately, the natural soil around our property is clay, which is a low-quality, heavy soil with limited drainage. This tool can cut through it, however, it does take more effort than a planter box. But, I havent found another hand tool that can handle it.
One of my favorite things about this tool is that it breaks down in two very solid pieces, so I can stow it away when not in use. It would be dangerous if a child were to get their hands on it and start wielding it for fun. The connection point where the hook screws into the handle is SOLID!
??This is now my favorite tool in the garden! It is making my vegetable garden clean up so easy. And, I have finally found a tool to move that tree! Thank you to whoever designed this tool, they did NOT skimp on the material or quality! I highly recommend the Rocklin Industry Short Handle Hook CultivatorIf you work in dirtyou NEED this tool!??
I was pleasantly surprised to see just how heavy duty this cultivator hook is! The hook easily tackles my hard clay soil with ease. I also have rocks and stone mixed into my soil, and this tool has helped so much with navigating through the difficult soil where I live. This hook is versatile, as it can be used for digging, tilling, pulling up weeds, edging, and more.
This is very well built. It comes in a nice package and it is in 2 pieces. The metal handle screws onto the hook portion.
All metal construction.
Feels great in the hand. Very durable.
Easy to use. Really gets around the fence posts and tree trucks.
It's a lot larger than I was expecting which was nice. I've got large hands and a lot if tools are on the small size.
